As part of an 18 month Executive Leadership Development
and Team Building program here at Bell Helicopter
Textron, we wanted to include a "Walk the
Talk" day of Ropes team building for our
Senior Staff Leadership Team.
An
executive coach who had participated in a similar
event with a Senior Team from Dell Computers recommended
John Logan and Lorenza Phillips of Adventure Alliance
to us as a resource. We worked with John
and Lorenza and developed a customized agenda
for our team, and held the session locally in
our area. Lorenza worked with our executive
coach and the event was a resounding success.
Our
CEO described it as "wonderful" and
it met his objective of planning an experiential
learning and team building that could be applied
on a very practical and usable business level.
Some
of the quotes from the day:
-
"The day provided many opportunities to find
the right balance between planning and execution."
-
"We balanced opportunities to take
in ideas with
the need to act with velocity."
-
"All of the exercises showed the power
of the concept makes the complex simple."
-
"The modules were basically simple yet
powerful."
We
found the Adventure Alliance team professional,
talented and responsive and would recommend them
to conduct an experience like for any business
team to learn more about their strengths and development
needs as individuals and to strengthen their cohesiveness
as a team.

While
last week’s Leadership Development Program is
still fresh on my mind, I wanted to drop you a
quick note to say thank you. Beginning with our
initial contact with your organization, you and
your staff showed an amazing determination to
meet the team building needs of our executive
staff. When we discovered, late in the planning
process, that we could not get Dragon Boats at
the local level, you went above and beyond the
call of duty and found a company that could build
the boats and get them delivered in time for our
event. We had all but given up on the idea that
we could have Dragon Boat Races and Adventure
Alliance found a way to make it happen. You even
went so far as to get special training for your
staff in order to safely and effectively handle
this event. By the time our program was concluded,
there was no doubt that we were working with a
first class, professional group of individuals.
As
I mentioned to you earlier, our attendees were
all high-level executives. They have seen and
done it all. To find an activity that would be
a unique experience as well as enjoyable, challenging
and team building, was no easy task. Dragon Boat
Racing met all those requirements and our people
will be talking about it for quite a while. In
the words of our CEO, . . . . .”I consider (this)
the best conference of its type to date.”
Once
again, many thanks to you and your staff John.
I will look forward to working with you again
in the future.
Best
regards,

Absolutely
a wonderful experience with regard to stepping
out of my comfort zone, appreciating & admiring
my team members more, respecting each member for
who they are and working through situations more
calmly by keeping them in perspective and eliminating
any sense of panic.

On
September 19, 2002 Adventure Alliance provided
a scavenger hunt for our finance and accounting
team of 30.
A few of us were from Austin and the rest
were from around the world.
We had so much fun!
Adventure Alliance was on time, organized
and fun to work with.
The feedback that I got from the group
was that it was the best team building we have
ever done.
There was enough structure to keep things
moving, but enough slack for the creativity and
personalities to really come out.
It was also great to have pictures available
afterwards so that people could remember what
a good time we all had and the funny stories that
happened along the way.
As
a team building activity, the scavenger hunt was
a great success.
We had gone to dinner as a group the night
before and most people were relatively quiet and
sedate.
The dinner after our team building was
very lively, with everyone sharing stories about
what had happened during the outing.
Adventure Alliance will be at the top of
my list the next time we do team building and
I have already told several friends about the
company and the services they provide.

"I
have had the privilege of working with Adventure
Alliance for the past year during my time as the
Trilogy University Coordinator. They have
facilitated such team building events for us as
Ropes Courses, Paint ball, Laser Tag, Tubing on
the Guadalupe River, Scavenger hunts and water
events such as jet skiing and wake boarding.
They are extremely enthusiastic,
knowledgeable and above all completely dedicated
to excellent customer service. There have
been many times that I have asked them to change
something or pull something together for my group
at the last minute, and they always make it happen
without a hitch. They are completely willing
to work with me in all aspects- from brainstorming
ideas for a fun event, to finding the best deal
and saving our company money, to setting goals
for what we would like to see happen at the events.
Additionally, I never worry about safety with
Adventure Alliance, as all of the staff are extremely
professional and capable.
I always receive really positive
feedback from attendees of these events and always
enjoy myself immensely when I attend these events
as well.
I highly recommend Adventure
Alliance. It is very apparent that they
are extremely passionate about their work and
dedicated to their clients."
